Taking a last minute 2 1/2 day trip( I say 1/2 because we will arrive on Thur. 3pm and leave on Sun.), any ideas of how we can make this last minute trip fun for my kids birthdays?? Boy-12 on Nov.1 and Girl-7 on Nov.3rd....HELP. Buy tix-where,etc. Thanks

    Hi, Shalanda!

Wow! What a special last-minute trip! Walt Disney World, here you come!

First, you can easily get park tickets right at the gate of your first park. Just get a Park Hopper if you plan on heading into two parks on any given day. If not, no Park Hopper Option needed.

For birthday excitement, be sure to pick up a complimentary Celebration Recognition Button for both your prince and your little princess. Guests and Cast Members alike will wish them a Happy Birthday any time they wear them, which always makes a trip to WDW even more magical.

If you'd like to have a special birthday meal, call Disney Dining to see what reservations may be available for any day of your visit. Call (407) WDW-DINE to inquire what's available. If nothing is available at this point in a park restaurant, be sure to check for reservations at one of the fabulous resort restaurants, too. So many great choices there will help your gang to celebrate, as well.

You still have time to order a special occasion birthday cake (or two!) which can be delivered to most WDW Resort restaurants with at least 48 hours notice. Call (407) 827-2253 as soon as you have a dinner reservation so that this can be arranged.

Finally, we often allow the birthday kid to pick the park for the day, then allow him or her to pick the first attraction for the day. Celebrating by hitting all of that person's favorites is always a treat, so have fun letting the birthday boy or girl pick your agenda for a day!

Send more questions as you think of them; I'd love to help!
