Hello! We are taking our last grandchild to Disney in early 2019. Any idea when the free dining will be?

Thank you for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Pamela!  Free dining is a big draw to Walt Disney World Resort. It’s a yearly campaign that draws plenty of visitors back to their My Disney Experience account to begin planning their next adventure!

Typically, I see a Free Dining offer for fall dates at Walt Disney World Resort, but until it appears, it’s never certain. Your best bet is to get in contact with a Travel Agent. Mine, at Travelmation, pays very close attention to discounts, special offers and typically release dates for things like free dining. However appealing the offer may be, I urge you to do your math homework. Free Dining often comes with a full rate room, and if you don’t have a very hungry family, you may do better to eat a la carte and glean a room discount instead. It varies for different families, so be sure to check. My kids can’t eat dessert or a beverage other than water at most meals, so we do better to share Quick Service entrees and spring for one snack in the afternoons. Now, when my son reaches his tween-age years, I know he’ll be eating me out of house and home, which is when the dining plan will be a great bet for us.

If I can help you find other discounts for your upcoming vacation, please let me know. I think you’ll be pleased with the savings and new offers at the Parks! ~ Lindsey P.
