Taking my kids to WDW for the first time in May. I haven't been in almost 15 years. Was curious how the meal plans worked and if anyone had suggestions. We are staying at Pop Century. I know we are going to book the character breakfast I think it is.

    Hi Karen,

You're in for a special treat!  So much has been added to Walt Disney World since your last visit.  You'll be stumbling upon delightful new surprises around every corner.

With regard to your question, the Disney Dining Plan is an easy and cost-effective way to pay for your family's food while on vacation.  Depending on the plan you choose, a certain number of snack, table service, and quick service meal credits will be added to the account attached to your Disney resort.  As you dine around the World, the credits are deducted from your account.  It's really quite easy.

If you are trying to decide which plan to choose, I suggest the basic Disney Dining Plan.  This plan includes one table service meal, one quick service meal, and one snack credit per day for each guest staying in your hotel room.  Where and when you use those credits during your stay is up to you.  I highly recommend that you call (407) WDW-DINE up to 180 days before your stay to make advance dining reservations for any table service restaurants, including character dining experiences.  (If you need dining suggestions, just let us know).

Enjoy your stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort and don't hesitate to post additional questions to the Moms Panel if you need further advice.  We'd be delighted to help!
