I am taking my kids and niece to Magic Kingdom soon. My niece is vegan and wants to know if the butter on the Magic Kingdom popcorn is real butter. Is the popcorn vegan friendly???? Thanks!

    Hello Melissa!

Our youngest daughter became a vegan right around two years ago. This summer will be her first trip back to the Walt Disney World Resort since this life change. So, as you can imagine, I have spent a good deal of time researching the best vegan foods and dining locations across Walt Disney World.

First things first- YES! The popcorn across the Walt Disney World Resort is vegan. The brand used is Pop Secret, which is not vegan when purchased in stores. However, the oil used at the parks is butter "flavored" and uses no animal products. In other great news, the famous Dole Whip is also vegan! You can also find fabulous vegan sweet treats at Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC located in Disney Springs.

I have found a great resource in vegandisneyworld.com. These fine folks have done extensive research as to where to find the best vegan options.

I hope you, your kids, and your niece have a fantastic and magical trip.

    See ya real soon,
    Anne
