Hi Cully,
How exciting to be planning your first trip to Walt Disney World! Let me help you to think about planning this magical vacation for your family.
The first thing to remember is that there is so much to do at Walt Disney World that you cannot possibly do it all in one trip! There are experiences that appeal to all different guests. Since you do have a good amount of time before your trip, I suggest that you watch the
Walt Disney World planning video. This will give you a look at each of the four theme parks, and you can start to see what best matches your family's interests.
I do recommend that for your first vacation to Walt Disney World, that you visit
Magic Kingdom for sure. This was the first Disney theme park in Florida, and includes the iconic Cinderella Castle. With children the ages of yours, you might find fun in all of the pirate and princess activities at Magic Kingdom, especially in Adventureland and Fantasyland. Since she was a little girl and all through her visits to Walt Disney World, my daughter has enjoyed a ride on Pirates of the Caribbean! I would also consider a
Disney's Hollywood Studios. This theme park is the headquarters for all things Star Wars and Disney Junior, so if either of your children enjoy those, this would be a great place to visit.
As for the dining piece, do consider some
character dining. A character dining experience will allow you to meet some characters without waiting in line.
I would love to help you plan more Cully; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
