Hi, Barbara! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question!
I think it is so sweet that you are incorporating extra special experiences for your children into your Disneyland Resort vacation! I do have a couple fun ideas in mind that your son might enjoy, although they are not particularly sports related. The first thing that I thought of is
Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. This unique and interactive experience is only for kids age 4 through 12 where they can train to be a Jedi and even try their hands at defeating the Dark Side. You must register near the exit of the Star Wars Launch Bay on the day you would like to participate and your son needs to be present to sign up. You will pick from available time slots throughout the day and if you are visiting Disneyland Park during Magic Morning/Extra Magic Hour, you can sign up during this early hour as well.
Another idea I have is to dedicate an afternoon or evening to bowling at
Splitsville Luxury Lanes. You will need to reserve your lane in advance and you can also make reservations to dine while you bowl. The atmosphere here is really fun and can be a nice reprieve from the parks.
Finally, both your kids might really enjoy playing the all new
Games of Pixar Pier! Purchase a play card at a kiosk to play the four super fun games available and you’ll even have the chance to win some really cool prizes.
I hope this information was helpful. Have a wonderful time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
