    We are taking our kids, ages 6 and 4, to Disney for the first time ever in December. We have gotten mixed reviews on Mickey's Very Merry Christmas. Is this something to spend the extra money on? How great is this event? Thank you!

    Hi Michelle!!  Greetings to a fellow Georgian!!!

    Congratulations on your children's first Walt Disney World Vacation!!  I know you must be so excited for them!!  I absolutely love Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!!!  It is so much fun and so nice to have lower crowds at the Magic Kingdom than during normal days.

    There are so many cool perks to attending the party.  There is a special parade and fireworks display.  You are able to get free cookies and hot chocolate at locations throughout the park.  Plus getting to watch it snow on Main Street, USA is so awesome!!!

    If you do have the couple of extra hundred dollars and are interested in going to the party, I would highly recommend doing so.  I would suggest getting your tickets in advance since the price is lower and you are guaranteed to get in.  Some days do sell out and if you wait until the day of the event, you may be out of luck.
