Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Hope! I am so glad that I get the opportunity to help one of my Colorado neighbors plan a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Wheelchairs are available to rent at the Disneyland Resort for a daily fee. Simply visit the wheelchair rental location adjacent to the Disneyland Park main entrance before entering the park. You can also rent an
Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) at this location if you would prefer a motorized option instead. Since both are available on a first-come, first-served basis, I recommend arriving early to secure a wheelchair or ECV. Also, you can use rented wheelchairs or ECVs in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Before your visit, peruse the
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities page to learn which attractions are wheelchair/ECV accessible and which will require you to transfer to an attraction vehicle.
On a different note since you mentioned you might be visiting on July 17...you should know that this date also happens to be the 62nd anniversary of Disneyland Park! In addition to lots of people celebrating this occasion and the potential of some extra fanfare, this day also marks the return of
Fantasmic! This epic nighttime spectacular has been updated and refreshed and it is sure to draw many excited Guests that night.
I hope you and your grandson have a wonderful time at the Disneyland Resort!
