I am taking my grandkids (ages 13&10) to WDW 12/21-12/27. This is their first visit to any of the Disney parks. What is the first thing you would recommend for children of this age? We are staying at the All Star Music Resort, have 5 day PHP & M.

Welcome to the Moms Panel Peggy!

What a cool Grandmother you are to take your grandkids to Disney World!  I am going under the assumption that your grandkids are thrill-seekers so here is what I'd recommend as "must dos" at the parks:

    Magic Kingdom
    Space Mountain
    Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
    Haunted Mansion
    Pirates of the Caribbean
    Astro Orbiter
    Splash Mountain
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin - yes - even for big kids & adults

    Epcot
    Soarin'
    Test Track
Mission: Space - make sure you read the attraction info on this - the spinning side is intense
Sum of All Thrills at Innoventions

    Hollywood Studios
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
    Tower of Terror
    Toy Story Mania!
Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show
    Star Tours
    Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular

    Animal Kingdom
    Expedition Everest
    Kali River Rapids
    Dinosaur
    Primeval Whirl
    Kilimanjaro Safaris

    Downtown Disney
    Characters in Flight

I always recommend Magic Kingdom as the first park to visit. Its the first park that opened at Walt Disney World & there is just something extra special about it.
