Hi, We are taking our grandkids ages 11 and 7 to Disney World next week and I know there will be a lot of walking. Do you have any suggestions for Grandma because I have problems with walking a lot?

    Hi Judith,

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel. Nice to know that you are taking your grandsons. Lucky kids! If it’s going to be your first time with them at WDW, you should definitely get a Memory Maker and that way, you will have all the pictures of attractions and even some attraction’s video as well. You can use the Disney’s photographers available throughout the parks and at some of the Disney’s Resorts too. I’m use to travel with my mom and with my mother in-law and they both have trouble to walk to due to surgeries and back issues. What you have to do, is optimize the walk. Study the map of the parks and create an itinerary, so you don’t have to keep crossing the park one way to another to visit the attractions that you want. Make all the restaurant reservation in advance take advantage of the FastPass+, it helps a lot with the major attractions lines. Chose to arrive early or leave the park late as possible, at this time the attraction lines are minimal. I highly recommend that you rent an EVC scooter to help you with all the walking. You can rent inside Disney’s park for the length of your stay or you can hire a service outside WDW like for example at Amusement Park, check their website. Decide previously with your grandsons what attractions are the most important for you guys. Read reviews and watch some videos at YouTube to help on each decision. You will not be able to see all and that’s fine, because many others trip are going to come.

    Have a magical day!
