I am taking my granddaughter to Disney World to celebrate her 3rd birthday. We will be in the park from Oct 12-18. She turns 3 on the 18th. Will she need a ticket to enter the parks?

    Hi there Beverly,

You should win a "Grandma of the Year" award!  What an exciting way to celebrate your granddaughter's third birthday!

Children under 3 years of age are admitted into the Disney World theme parks for FREE, so according to policy, your granddaughter would be required to purchase a ticket on the 18th.  That being said, it's really up to you to decide when, on that day, she actually turns 3.  In my daughter's situation, she was born at 12:30 in the afternoon, so technically, she was still 2 until 12:31 :).

Be sure to stop by Town Hall to pick up a complimentary birthday button to enhance the celebration of this special day!

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
