We are taking our granddaughter to celebrate her 5th birthday in late March. I signed her up for a makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique - would the character breakfast be too much that same day?

    Hi, Bonnie,

One of my favorite memories from a recent family vacation to the Disneyland Resort was watching our youngest princess receive a most magical makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. As our daughter's Fairy Godmother-in-training worked her magic wand, we were amazed at the transformation that took place before our eyes. When she was done, our princess was all sparkly smiles.

One thing that surprised us about that experience was that our daughter wasn't particularly interested in riding on attractions after her makeover. She wanted to take great care to keep her hairdo and makeup as picture-perfect as possible. So that is exactly what we did! We found a Disney PhotoPass photographer who happened to be with the same character as our daughter's new outfit. The meeting was delightful. And since we had Disney MaxPass that day, the included PhotoPass pictures are precious reminders of a beautiful day.

I can imagine that day could have been even more amazing participating in a special Character Dining experience, such as dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. It would have been so neat to see the various characters gush over her new look. So, no, I don't think it would be too much in one day. Though, it may also depend on the interests of your own princess and the expected plans and goals for your family. In the end, I'm certain it will be a memorable day for all at the Happiest Place on Earth!

    Have a magical time!
