I am taking my grandchildren to WDW over Thanksgiving. Is that a terrible time to go? And I have heard that young children cannot go on some of the rides. My youngest is 7. What can she not participate in?

    Hi Marilyn!

Thanksgiving is a very popular time to visit Walt Disney World.  You'll be able to enjoy the holiday decorations as well as somewhat cooler weather!

Most rides at Walt Disney World are able to be enjoyed by children of all ages, but some (very few in comparison to what is offered) do have a height requirement. I don't know how tall the 7 year old is, but she might not reach the 48" height requirement on some rides.  Primeval Whirl and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster both have a 48" height requirement.  My best advice would be to get her measured and check out the height requirements page here.  (on the left, you'll see that you can sort the attractions by height requirement)
