    We will be taking our 5 grandchildren (12,11 and 3 nine year olds) plus their parents on their first Disney Cruise. We are just wondering how the process for the Kids Clubs works. Do you sign up before the cruise, or when you check in?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so excited for your family’s FIRST Disney Cruise Line vacation!  You are all going to have just the best time!  One of the best things (and believe me – there are MANY) about a Disney Cruise Line vacation is that there is truly something for everyone to enjoy while onboard!  With so many things to do, everyone is sure to find something to their liking.

    Your grandchildren will love spending time in the onboard Youth Clubs and luckily, they can all attend the same youth clubs – the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab where they will find a variety of organized activities, games, crafts and so much more!  And if they choose to not participate in the organized activities, there is still plenty of other options for them!  While my boys are younger than your grandchildren, they always look forward to spending time in the Youth Clubs when we are onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship.  The onboard Youth Clubs are included with your reservation and you can pre-register them for the Youth Clubs when you complete your Online Check-In which opens 75 days prior to sailing.  During the Online Check-In process there will be the option to register the children and this will just expedite the process for them to play!  If they are pre-registered, they will receive their Oceaneer Bands when you arrive at the port for embarkation and then they will be set and ready to go!

    Be sure to have anyone who has a smartphone download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app prior to your cruise so that you will have the schedule of onboard events and activities at your fingertips.  Additionally, there is a chat feature that is handy when traveling with a group!
