I will be taking my grandchildren ages 7,7,5 the week of thanksgiving. This is our 1st trip to Disney. Can you tell me about the weather that time of year? Also we will be staying at the Art of Animation- where is the nearest character breakfast rest.

Woo hoo! Your first visit to Walt Disney World! Be prepared to have a blast with your grandchildren meeting Disney princesses, eating Mickey ice cream, and flying over London with Wendy and Peter Pan!

The weather at Thanksgiving in central Florida tends to be sunny and mild with highs in the low 80s and nights in the mid 60s. Even though you might not take it out of the suitcase, do pack a light jacket.

Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort would be my choice for best character breakfast. The fab five classic Disney characters-including Mickey and Minnie- come to your table for pictures, autographs, and hugs. The bountiful buffet has fruit, Mickey waffles, breakfast pizza, eggs, cereal, and many other items that your grandchildren will enjoy. While you eat you can watch the monorail pass overhead and look out the windows at the Magic Kingdom and the Seven Seas Lagoon.

You and your grandchildren will have many magical experiences during your visit. Years later maybe they will bring their own grandchildren to Walt Disney World and tell the new generation wonderful stories of their first visit with you. Planning your first trip to WDW can be overwhelming so please contact me if you have any additional questions. I love to help families create amazing trips!
