Hi! We're taking our girls on their first WDW vacation early December 2011. On what date do the Christmas-themed parades and shows begin? Besides hot chocolate and cookies, what "extras" are part of MVMCP? Thanks!

    Hello there Tracey!

I was fortunate enough to attend the party last year and I had a complete blast with all of my friends! The Christmas Time Parades and shows typically begin the middle of December right around the last day of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. So, if you want to see Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade the first couple of weeks in December, you will need to go to the Party to see it. Besides all the Cookies and chocolate you can eat, there are lots of things to see and do. Here is a list of of the shows and events that took place during the party.

Castle Dream Lights on Cinderella Castle
    Celebrate The Season Show
Most of the Popular Magic Kingdom attractions
    A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show
Special Meet and greets with Disney Characters (some only found at the party)
    Character Dance Parties
Get to see Magical snow fall on Main Street
Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade
    Holiday Wishes Fireworks

I hope you and your family have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have more questions, we are always here to help! Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel!
