We're taking our girls to Disney for their first time in November. Our oldest will be celebrating her 3rd birthday there! We are debating whether we need the park hopper extra. My husband thinks with 2 little kids we won't need it, but I think we do.

    Hi Lindsey!

This is a difficult question and it really depends on the guest.  I can tell you that I have two boys, ages 12 and 8, and we have seldom park hopped over the years.  However, we would get up early and be at the parks before they officially opened.  Then we usually stayed there all day until after dinner and then went back to the hotel.  That worked because we usually visited during the slower months when park hours are shorter.

However, when we visited in the summer time or during the holidays, we would usually get up early, but then return to the hotel for a nap or a break from the parks.  After that break we would head back to a park and if we had the Park Hopper option on our Magic Your Way tickets, we would often head to a different park!

Also, some guests love to visit a park during the day and then hop to Epcot for dinner since Epcot has some amazing Table Service restaurants.  Other guests love to visit a park and then hop to a park having Evening Extra Magic Hours.

There is no easy answer, but I hope this gives you something to think about.  I would be happy to help you plan your magical Disney vacation!  Just write back with more questions!
