Hi Jennifer!
You have some excellent questions about your upcoming Disney Dream Cruise! If your daughter enjoys dolphins, there are two adventures the two of you will both love-
Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Encounter or the
Blue Lagoon Dolphin Swim. Both adventures allow you interact with these amazing mammals and if she is comfortable in the water, the dolphin swim is an amazing experience! Being able to move through the water with your new friend will be unforgettable! Another reason I like the Blue Lagoon excursions is if you book the morning time slot, you will be able to stay and to play on the beach after your adventure.
When you sail with Disney Cruise Line, the Broadway-style shows are included in your cruise fare. Each evening you will make your way to the Walt Disney Theatre to be dazzled by the most talented performers on the high seas! I do suggest arriving 10-15 minutes early to get a seat up close. If you are assigned first seating, your show will be after dinner at 8:30 and if you have second seating, it will be at 6:15.
Your daughter will be able to check in and out of the Oceaneer Club and Lab as often as she likes on your sailing. There is always room for her as long as the club is open. When Guests reserve their cruise vacation Disney keeps track of all the children's ages so the youth spaces can accommodate everyone who is onboard. Hours of operation are usually 9:00am-midnight, but be sure to check your Personal Navigator, the daily cruise newsletter, each day for a list of activities and operating times.
I hope I've helped with your planning, Jennifer. Please let me know if you have further questions!
Nancy
