Hi, taking a generations vacation in 2017 to fulfill my 3 year old grandparents' bucket list dream. Is The Contemporary a good choice to stay w/ 3 year old, 70yr grandparents, & us in our 30s? Is there a walking path to MK?

    Hi Julie,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. It sounds like you are planning a very special trip with little ones and grandparents. Walt Disney World is such a great location for a trip like this. There is so much to do for guests of all ages.

I think that your choice of Disney's Contemporary Resort for this trip is a great one. This resort is so iconic to Walt Disney World, and the rooms are spacious and modern. Yes, there is a walking path from this resort to Magic Kingdom, which is a wonderful benefit! When staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort, my family often finds that we walk to Magic Kingdom in the morning, and then at night when we are returning to the resort and are tired, we hop on the monorail to head back to Disney's Contemporary Resort.

You will also find great dining options at Disney's Contemporary Resort. I truly enjoy the quick service restaurant on the Concourse Level, Contempo Cafe. I have even been known to sneak out of Magic Kingdom for lunch at this location! If you and your partner, or the grandparents, are looking for a nice adult evening out, consider a night at the California Grill. Located atop Disney's Contemporary Resort, this restaurant offers delicious Pacific Coast cuisine and amazing views.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Julie. Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
