We are taking a flight on our arrival day that arrives well before we can check in. If we are planning on using Magical Express, is there a place that our bags will be stored until we're able to check in? Can we go to a park, leaving bags unattended?

Hey, Andy. It looks like your trip to the most magical place on earth is just a few short months away. I bet you are getting so excited.

Andy, I think you'll be happy to know that once you've arrived at the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you'll be staying at during your vacation, you will be able to drop your bags off with Bell Services and they will keep them for you until your room is ready. Just visit the desk located outside around the area where you'll be dropped off and a Cast Member will assist you. They'll count the number of bags you have and give you a tag that is used as your receipt. If you have items that need to be refrigerated, they will be able to store them properly for you as well, you'll just need to point out what bags need to be kept cool. Once you've dropped off your bags, you are free to explore the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel that you are staying at and can take advantage of all of the amenities immediately once you've arrived. I typically like to plan some time at the pool on the day of our arrival. It's nice to be able to store our luggage, head to the pool and then when I've gotten the text message that our room is ready have Bell Services that our things up to our room. If you'd rather visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks when you first arrive, you are absolutely able to do this too. Just have everything you need for your park day packed in a separate backpack to take with you and then leave the rest of your luggage with Bell Services before heading off to enjoy your day. On your last day, if your flight is later in the afternoon or evening, you can always store your bags again with Bell Services once you've checked out until the Magical Express picks you up to take you back to the airport. You'll just take your luggage back down to that same counter, you'll be given another receipt and then you can head off to enjoy your last day. It's such a convenient service, I can't imagine what it would be like to lug around all of my belongings on arrival and departure days. While it certainly isn't expected, if I have the Bell Services crew bring my things up to my room, I do like to tip them for their hard work. I'm an over-packer and the number of bags they have to keep track of can be crazy. They are always so nice and very appreciative of a tip.

Andy, I hope you have a great time visiting Walt Disney World. If you have any other questions before your trip, I'm happy to help. Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
