I am taking my first trip without children. Would it be strange for me go on Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage solo? I want to do something that I haven't done yet to celebrate my birthday but don't like spa treatments.

Hi, BettyJo! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Thank you so much for bringing us this great question! First, I want to say that I spent one entire day by myself at Walt Disney World Resort and it definitely left me wanting to schedule a solo vacation in the future! I don’t think that there is anything wrong with going on the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage as a “single rider”, at all! What a fantastic idea! I actually read a few reviews where people went by themselves to check it out and had a great time! If you do attend, make sure to arrive at Disney’s Contemporary Resort lobby for check-in at least 10 minutes before the event, and keep in mind that weather might affect or alter your experience.

Since you are celebrating, make sure to visit Guest Relations for a special birthday button and if you happen to be staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can contact Disney Reservations to have the celebration noted to your account!

Happy Birthday! Have a magical time!
