    Taking first Trip to WDW in September thinking about doing the Steam Train Tour at MK. What is the current cost for that tour? How do we get transportation early enough to make it to MK in time?

    Hi Aaron!  I have not done this tour yet but everyone I have talked to who has done it says it is one of their favorites. It is an early time but seeing the Magic Kingdom when Main Street is empty is quite something!

    The tour is about $40 a person and you must be at least ten years of age and accompanied by an adult. Prices do change but that should give you a good idea of the cost as you are planning your fall trip.  Please click HERE to see a great description of this tour.

    Disney will provide buses from the resorts to the parks for families who have early dining reservations of tours but they are far and sometimes unpredictable as to the timing.  I always suggest you add to your budget a taxi fare for the early morning commitments.  You could have your guest service or concierge cast member call for a cab to be at your resort for you at a designated time and then have them drop you off at the Contemporary resort.  Instead of dropping you at the entrance to the resort ask them to drop you close to the walking path to the Magic Kingdom which would save you a few steps.  The walk is then only about 8 minutes.
