    We will be taking our first trip to Disney World with our 17 month old son in March. Because this will be our first experience at Disney, we want to capture the "magical" moments often. Do you suggest bringing a video camera or not?

    If you already have a video camera, I absolutely recommend bringing it with you (and bring lots of memory, dvds, tapes, or whatever media your camera works with) to capture the countless memories your family will create.  My sons' first words, first steps and many other priceless memories happened within Disney's perimeter.  My all time favorite video is of my kids sleeping on each other's shoulders in our double stroller, as Wishes was lighting up the Magic Kingdom.  Both of their faces were still covered in chocolate from the Mickey ice cream bars they ate right before passing out after a day in the park.

    That being said, if you don't currently own a video camera, still pictures and a few notes that describe what was happening when they were taken can have the same impact as film.  I have a still shot of the video I just described in a frame on my dresser. Most of us are trying to make wise financial decisions these days.  If a video camera isn't in the budget right now, you have plenty of other options for creating magical memories!
