Hi Katelyn,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am thrilled that you brought this question to us! How exciting to plan your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort.
The new
Happily Ever After fireworks show at Magic Kingdom is spectacular. One of my family's favorite restaurants with fireworks viewing while dining is the
California Grill. The view is quite lovely from atop Disney's Contemporary Resort. When you arrive at the check-in desk on the second floor of the resort, request a window table. If they cannot accommodate the request, guests are more than welcome to enjoy the view from the outside observation deck. When last we dined there, we had a table by the window but the cast member who served us was more than happy to pause our dinner service while we went to the observation deck to enjoy the fireworks.
Aside from dinner, you could also try the
Celebration at the Top - Savor, Sip and Sparkle event offered on select nights at the California Grill. This event is subject to change, so please double-check as your trip dates get closer to see if it is still available!
To be sure that you see the fireworks, I suggest that you make your reservation near the time of the show. On our last visit, we had dinner reservations for 8:50 p.m. but arrived at the restaurant check-in desk 30 minutes prior to our reservation time and were seated by 8:45 p.m.
The view is simply magical.
Katelyn, I do hope you are able to make a reservation. The food, the view, the service are superb!
