We are taking our first trip to Disney in March. My daughter is 4 and I am a bit overwhelmed w/ all the information, how do I know what shows are out there, which require tickets and which rest. require reservations?

    Hi Missty --

Planning your first Disney trip can be a bit overwhelming - there is so much to see and do.  But you must be so excited at the same time!  Your family will have a wonderful time.

The great thing about the theme parks at Disney World is that your price of admission includes shows, parades, and attractions.  There are only a handful of dinner shows, tours and special events throughout the year that require additional fees.  I've listed a few of the most popular of these events below:

    • Hoop de doo Revue
    • Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show
    • Mickey's Backyard BBQ
    • Cirque de Soleil (does not include dining)

March is a fairly busy time at Walt Disney World, and I recommend making reservations for any table service meals that your family would like to enjoy by calling 407-939-3463.   Character meals are a lot of fun and will give your child a special opportunity to interact with the characters.  For a list of restaurants that feature character dining, click HERE.

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
