Taking first trip to disney in July with husdand and 2 boys age 5 and 2. Staying in studio villa. Are the rooms in villas as nice as rooms in regular lodge? Pics I have seen of villa seem to look a bit outdated. Would like your thoughts. Thank you.

    Hi Tara!

I'm not sure which Walt Disney World Resort you're referring to, but since you mentioned "lodge" in your question, I'm going to guess that you are referring to the Wilderness Lodge or the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Both the Wilderness Lodge and the Animal Kingdom Lodge have Deluxe Villas attached to them, which are basically Disney Vacation Club (DVC) properties that are available to both DVC and non-DVC members.  The Deluxe Villas at both resorts are fabulous!  The studios in both resorts are very nice.  In fact, the Wilderness Lodge and Villas is my absolute favorite resort at Walt Disney World.

Between the two, I prefer the Wilderness Lodge.  I love the theming of the resort.  I also like the fact that it isn't too spread out.  It's relatively easy to get to the main pool, the restaurants, and the food court.  There's no Quick Service restaurant at Kidani Village, the DVC portion of the Animal Kingdom Lodge, so keep that in mind if you're going there!

Enjoy planning and write back if I didn't answer your questions!
