    Hello- we will be taking our first trip to Disney December 2018. We are booked at Kidani Village. Our dining reservation window opens 6/5/2018. Do we have to have purchased a Disney dining plan prior to make dining reservations? Thanks!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question. You’ll be staying at my absolute favourite Walt Disney World Resort hotel during your stay this December: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. I absolutely love Kidani’s theming, the spacious rooms and, of course, those friendly animal neighbours!

    You don’t need to have purchased a Disney Dining Plan prior to making your Disney dining reservations once your 180-day reservation window opens. In fact, you don’t even need to purchase one in order to eat in any Disney restaurant! If you do ultimately choose to purchase one, make sure to tell your server when you’re seated that you’d like to use your Disney Dining Plan entitlements to pay for your meal, and you should be good to go.
