    We are taking our first trip to Disney in April and are staying at the campground. We have reservations at Chef Mickey's the morning after we arrive at 8 am. What is the best way to get to Chef Mickey's? Thank you,

    Carolyn:

    There are two boats that service Fort Wilderness: one that goes to Magic Kingdom and one that makes a circle between the Contemporary Resort, the fort, and Wilderness Lodge.

    You will need to take the resort boat to The Contemporary where Chef Mickey's is located. Although the Magic Kingdom boat only begins one hour before park opening, the resort boat usually begins service around 6:30 a.m., but check at the front desk when you check-in to confirm. The boat takes about 30 minutes to run round-trip, so if you need to be at Chef Mickey's at 8:00 a.m., make sure that you're at the pier about 7:20 a.m. (Although it's only a 10-minute ride to the Contemporary, if you miss the last boat, you'll still have time to catch the next one and get from the pier to the restaurant without a lot of worry.)
