Hi Jessica,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Planning your first trip - WOW! Mickey and Minnie Mouse love to celebrate first visits!
So, let's talk about transportation. The buses do have standard routes although those routes can change. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, your resort hotel will have regular bus service and, depending on the resort hotel, there may be other transportation options. Buses run regularly to all four theme parks, the water parks and Disney Springs. Good news - you will be able to ride Walt Disney World Transportation without a car seat for your 2-year old. If you venture off property in an Uber or taxi, you will need to request a car seat.
I suggest that you download the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. You can use the app to get directions between locations. On our last trip, we started letting our girls use it to test their geography skills. Oh, it was comical. We eventually got to our destination, they practiced reading maps and following GPS directions. We practiced patience.
Jessica, we love to use the "Get Directions" feature to see transit options and estimated transit times between locations. The
Walt Disney World Bus Service,
Resort Monorail and
Walt Disney World Water Transportation provide fantastic transportation service. Be sure to review the information on each one so that you can plan accordingly!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
