Hi Elana!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you dropped by with your question about your upcoming Land and Sea vacation! I am thrilled for your family to experience your first Disney Cruise Line vacation and you will make the best memories at both Walt Disney World Resort AND on your adventure at sea!
Since you are staying off site when you visit
Walt Disney World Resort, I would recommend booking a private shuttle or limo company to get your family to Port Canaveral on embarkation day. There are a variety of companies that offer this service in the Orlando area and I would look for one that has a set rate from “Point A to Point B”. Many companies have the option to request car seats/booster seats for your children to use during the hour long ride, alleviating the need to bring your own! Uber or Lyft is also an option to get there, but I always like to book a transfer so that I have one less thing to worry about on the day of embarkation. Many times when you book a transfer, it is more cost effective to book a round-trip transfer, so you may want to consider booking your transportation back to the airport (or your destination after your Disney Cruise) as well.
Hopefully this helps guide you in getting to Port Canaveral from Orlando; please come back if you have any additional questions as your planning continues! In the meantime, explore the Port Adventures offerings so you can be ready to book your
excursions when your onboard booking window opens! As a first time cruiser, this will be 75 days prior to your sailing.
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
