Oh, Holly!
You and yours are going to have such a joyous Christmas vacation aboard the Disney Magic! There are so many
special holiday events and treats which await you on this extra-special cruise!
We actually have a similar situation this Christmas, and I've been thinking of how to make sure Santa Claus knows where to find us, too! As you can imagine, you really need to pack as lightly as you can for a cruise, but at the same time, little ones in your group may have full expectations of the entire sugar plum package awaiting them on the ship. So, here's what we're planning...I hope it helps you, too.
I've talked to the big guy (Santa, not Mickey), and he assures me that he will visit our home and have everything there waiting on us after we return. I am going to have a few gifts (from each other) shipped ahead of time in order for us to have a private family celebration in our room. Yet, there is so much going on onboard that the crew has assured me that my kids won't miss our traditional festivities back at home. In fact, the only problem you may have is
not taking a Disney cruise every year at Christmas!
Oh, and I think that's a great idea to bring your stockings to hang -- Santa is sure to pay you a quick visit on the ship and may fill your stockings with things you might can use on your cruise. I've even heard that the guy in red has special clearance from the captain to land right on deck!
If you're interested in shipping something prior to your cruise, you can visit my friends at Passporter.com. Dave Marx, co-author of the Passporter guidebooks, has some specific information about how to do this on the Passporter Discussion Boards. And let me know if you have more questions for me!
Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
