Hello! We're taking our first ever cruise on November (4 night to Bahamas on Disney Wonder). Every day the ship is on a port (Castaway, Nassau & Key West), what are the best sugestions for the trip to take full advantage of it? stay on ship or go to

    Hi Juan!
Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question. Cruising for the first time? I'm so excited you've chosen Disney Cruise Line - you'll be so happy you did!

There's so much to see and do on a Disney Cruise ship - fun pools, family activities, first-run Disney movies, Character Greetings, seminars (ever wanted to learn how to fold a towel animal - you can!), and more. With port stops every day, if you choose to disembark at each, you might not get to enjoy all the ship has to offer! I would definitely make sure to visit Castaway Cay, Disney's private island (my happy place!), but you might want to choose between the other two ports.

My advice is to take a look at the Port Adventures offered in Nassau and Key West, and see which ones appeal the most to you. There's a lot to choose from - snorkeling, catamaran rides, and dolphin encounters to name a few. Nassau has a few more adventures to choose from than Key West, and several that include a visit to the gorgeous Atlantis Resort.

Of course, you can always choose to disembark every day - the choice is up to you. If you choose to stay onboard, you'll enjoy smaller crowds at the pools, which we took full advantage of on our last sailing!

Please come back and let us know if you have any more questions as you plan your magical vacation - we're happy to help! - Diane W.
