We are taking our first disney trip with 3 kids 5 and under in May. For Epcot day, we'll do Future world in the AM and World Showcase after naps at Pop Century. Can we drive to Beach Club to park and enter/exit Intrntl Gtwy for the 2nd half of our day?

Hi Rebecca! May is coming up soon and I am sure your family is getting very excited about their first Walt Disney World vacation!

The Beach Club resort is the closest Disney resort to Epcot making it tempting to park there and walk to the park. However, you will not be able to do that as it keeps a closed parking lot throughout most of the year. There are many convention groups that use the Yacht and Beach Club and between the parking for those groups and the actual registered guests they can't add park guests to the lots. You will not be able to park at the Boardwalk, Beach Club, or Yacht Club resorts unless you have a dining reservation at one of their restarts.

I suggest you consider using the Disney bus transportation to get to Epcot. You can come and go when you wish and avoid the hassles of parking. Although resort guests do get complimentary park parking they are doing a test right now at Epcot where the closest parking will be spaces that you will actually pay an extra $15. That means regular guests will be parking in the furthest lots out and taking a tram. This is a test right now but likely will end up being put in place by summer and possibly at all parks.

Your other option is to walk to the Beach Club resort and catch a taxi from there. This is about a $15 ride between the two resorts. We have actually opted for this many times especially if the kids are tired as the walk back to the front of Epcot can seem daunting at times.

Have a super vacation in May and let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions.
