We're taking our first Disney cruise in February and staying at PO French quarter for 1 night after. I was wondering what time I can expect to be at resort if I take the DCL bus. We would like to go to a park that day after arriving at the resort. Tha

How exciting - your final countdown to your magical voyage is almost here, Kathryn!

You've picked the most convenient way of traveling from Port Canaveral to your Disney Resort. You and your princess will feel the magic continue... even after you disembark. The Disney Cruise Line motor coaches are so comfortable, we are usually snoozing all the way to the hotel on the morning of disembarkation -- but at least, you'll be energized and ready to hit the parks for the day.

The last day of your Disney Cruise vacation is still a day to be enjoyed. You can enjoy a leisurely sit down breakfast at your designated restaurant (same one that you had dinner at the night before) and take the time to get some last pictures taken. You'll also have time to say 'see ya later' to your dining team and stateroom host/hostess who have been with you all throughout your voyage.

You can choose to leave the ship as early as around 8am or if you're like me - going slow motion that morning - then you could find yourself leaving the gangway at around 9 or 9:30am. Allow half an hour or so to go through US Customs, Baggage Claim, and then board your assigned motor coach that will take you to your hotel. It will be about an hour drive, depending on traffic, plus 1 or 2 possible hotel stops along the way. I usually guesstimate to be at the Disney resort sometime around 11am... or in time for lunch. My family will usually enjoy lunch either at the resort - or go straight to the parks after dropping off our bags.

You've got the rest of the afternoon and evening to enjoy the parks - have fun!

    Happy planning, Kathryn!
