We will be taking our first Disney Cruise during our family reunion in January 2013. There are 14 of us and we were hoping to reserve 2 cabanas in Castaway Cay, to accommodate everyone in our family. Can you book the cabanas in advance? How? Thanks!

    Hi Karen!

The cabanas on Castaway Cay are amazing and extremely popular. Mix that in with a limited number of them to go around, and you'll realize that it takes some planning and pixie dust for luck!

The cabanas can be booked online under excursions if you are within your booking window for excursions and activities. The cabanas currently cost about $500 for the day. Some of the things included in the price are non-alcoholic beverages, lounge chairs, an outdoor shower, and towels. You'll love having this beautiful space all to yourself while you're enjoying Castaway Cay's gorgeous beaches.

With the exception of Concierge Guests, online booking varies. Platinum Castaway Club members and Concierge Guests can book 120 days prior to sailing, Gold Castaway members can book 105 before their sail date, Silver members can book 90 days out, and new cruisers can book 75 days before their departure. If you aren't able to reserve one online, keep checking. Guests have up to three days before their sail date to cancel any onboard or Port Adventure reservation.

I hope this helps Karen. Please let me know if you have any other questions that I can help with. Have a magical sailing!
