Ahoy, Colette!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! I'm excited to hear you'll soon be setting sail with Captain Mickey on the beautiful Disney Dream. April will be here before you know it!
Unfortunately, Disney Cruise Line has discontinued the practice of Guests being allowed to drop off items at the Guest Services Desk to be autographed by Disney Characters. Guests may still bring photo mats, pillowcases, and other items to be signed, but are asked to bring their items with them to Character Meet and Greets to get signatures.
The good news is, additional
Character Greetings are now offered so that Guests have plenty of opportunities to meet their favorite Disney friends in person for autographs and photo ops. Each sailing will also have special ticketed Meet and Greet moments such as the
Princess Gathering and
Anna & Elsa. These events have limited space, and Guests will need tickets to reserve a place for their sailing party. On our last cruise, we were able to reserve a time for our girls to attend the Princess Gathering when our reservation window opened, and we booked our cruise activities. If you don't reserve a spot beforehand, you can stop by Guest Services on your first afternoon onboard and request a ticket.
I have to mention that I love your name! Did you know that one of the adult-only restaurants on the Disney Dream,
Remy, begins every meal with a champagne cocktail called "The Colette"? How cool is that? (And they're delicious, too!)
I hope this helps with your planning. Please let us know if we can help answer any other questions you have before your cruise! - Diane W.
