We are taking our first crusie on the Disney Dream the end of July. For the rotating dinners, would it be appropriate to wear a pair of dressy capris with a nice sweater for dinner?? And is it ok to wear nice sandals ?

    Hi, Terri!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the Disney Dream -- she is oh-so stylish and spectacular!

I always view a cruise as an extra special vacation and request that my family dresses up for dinner more than they normally would back home. There are so many beautiful venues for family photos, and we are rarely in the same place and looking great at the same time! Therefore, I bring dresses for dinner.

Yet, my predecessor, Karen, says she rarely wears dresses or skirts on a cruise but would rather dress up slacks or nice capri pants with a top and accessories. Click here to access her video on just that subject to give you more information.  I think you'll find that dressy capris and a nice sweater will be appropriate, and of course, nice sandals are fine since July will necessitate keeping as cool as possible.

I hope this helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
