WE are taking our first cruise in Sept. its the DVC members cruise, andwanted to konw about the kayaking do you set on your knees or on your bottom? The other question is the snorkeling do you need any experience.

    Hi, William!

Congratulations on your first cruise this fall with Disney Cruise Line -- how exciting that it's the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Member Cruise on the Disney Dream! Member cruises usually include two stops at Castaway Cay, special guests, shows and activities, surprise gifts and more!

Our family has experienced Kayaking at Castaway Cay, and you sit on your bottom in the kayaks. (You'll be able to tell from the photos of the link I provided.) For Snorkeling at Castaway Cay, you don't have to have any prior experience, but it helps to get you on your way sooner if you don't have a "learning curve."  The snorkel lagoon offers 22 acres to explore, including a beginner and discoverer snorkel trail. Be sure to keep your eye out for some underwater hidden surprises as you snorkel further out into the lagoon. Go in and out of the lagoon as much as you like before returning your equipment to Gils' Fins and Boats or Flippers n Floats at the end of the day.

I hope this helps you plan! Have a beautiful Alabama day and a magical vacation.

    Bon voyage,

    Andi
