We are taking our first cruise May 2012 on the Fantasy. Can you trade pins on the cruise? My girls loved trading pins in the parks.

    Ahoy, Betty-Jo!

You betcha there's pin trading on Disney Cruise Line (DCL)!  In fact, there are usually several special opportunities and events on board to trade with other guests and the crew.  When you sail, simply peruse your daily Personal Navigator to identify those spots and times.

In addition, there are also special limited-edition DCL pins you can purchase while on board.  Some are exclusive to DCL; some are unique to the ship; and some are special itinerary-specific pins.  We treasure our nautical Disney pins and are most reluctant to trade those in the parks, but they are usually the ones that other guests are eager to collect since they are harder to get.  Also, there are pins you can only purchase on Disney's Castaway Cay, and you'll want to take a look at those, too!

Congratulations on your cruise next spring on the Disney Fantasy -- you'll be of the first to sail that magnificent new ship!  Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation.

    Bon voyage,
