Hello! Taking our first cruise to the Bahamas in April 2017. We are planning on flying into Orlando airport the night before our cruise sets sail. I was wondering what time the first buses leave the airport to head to the port and how often they depart.

    Hi Kara!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm elated to hear you'll be taking your first Disney Cruise in just a few months! You must be getting so excited! You will be amazed at all there is to do once onboard. I love having the opportunity to help Guests plan their inaugural voyage sailing with Disney!

Choosing to use the Ground Transportation from the Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral will start your vacation off stress-free. The first motor coach typically departs the airport around 9:00 a.m. Buses will depart approximately every 30 minutes thereafter to take Guests to the Disney Cruise Line Terminal at Port Canaveral. My family and I love using this service and I'm so glad you're using it, too, for your first cruise!

One thing I didn't know before my first cruise with Captain Mickey was that all charges made onboard are done so with your Key to the World Card. This card acts as your stateroom key, charge card and identification while walking around the ship. Once you complete your first cruise, you'll become a Silver Castaway Club member! Being a Castaway Club member gives you lots of fun perks, but the handiest perk is receiving a lanyard to wear for carrying around your Key to the World Card. Since you're not a Castaway Club member just yet, I recommend buying a lanyard either before your cruise or as your first souvenir while at sea!

I'm wishing you the most magical first cruise aboard the Disney Cruise Line! Please stop back and ask us anything else as you count down the days until your voyage!

    Bon Voyage,

    Beth
