I am taking my family on their first Disney vacation in April 2012. We are trying to decide whether to stay at the Saratoga Springs villas or the Kidani Villas......any advice?

    Hello, Brandy!

Wow...you raise a great question here!

We are Disney Vacation Club owners at both Saratoga Springs and Kidani Village, so I know the benefits and luxuries of both.  It's a tough call.

I'd say to look at the members of your group.  If they are animal lovers, younger children or love The Lion King, then I'd go with Kidani Village.  Truly, the animal features at Kidani Village are spectacular, as is the younger kids' activity area by the pool.  I've literally never seen anything like it; our 10-year old and his buddy spent hours playing in that area; they stayed there before even walking 10 steps further to see the main pool and slide!  The subtle and not-so-subtle references to various characters in The Lion King emerge in both your villa as well as various paths throughout the Village.

If, on the other hand, the members of your party are a little more mature, enjoy a spa-like atmosphere and might want the convenience of walking to Downtown Disney for a little shopping or additional dining experiences, then Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa might be better suited to you. Depending on the size of your party, be sure to consider the option of a Treehouse Villa, which offers sleeping accommodations for up to nine, as well as the other options available in the resort.  Regardless of your party size, we love the convenience of Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and its proximity to Downtown Disney as well as Epcot.

Bottom line?  Look to see what will most WOW the members of your party, and go with that!

Please send me more questions as you think of them!  I'd love to help you make your family's first trip to Walt Disney World more magical than you can imagine!
