We Are taking our family of 10 to Dw to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Will be staying at Grand Floridian. Our grandchildren will be 1(two of them), 4 and 5 years old. Am wondering if you would recommend a more kid friendly resort.

    Hi Lauren,
The Grand Floridian is a very family friendly resort. Our family has stayed there many times. My son first stayed there at the age of 2 and he still tells us that it's his favorite hotel on WDW property.

The Grand Floridian's lobby while Victorian and eye-opening is also a place where you'll find kids watching Disney cartoons at a TV and chairs perfectly sized for little ones.

Outdoors the excitement continues with the sights and sounds of the Magic Kingdom across the Seven Seas Lagoon. The white sandy beach is a favorite place to dig in the sand. The Beach pool offers a zero-depth entry which is perfect for small children at the wading only stage. For older kids, there is a fun slide. Near the pool, Cast Members often set up activities such as several stages of Wii video games.

From the Grand Floridian, your family is one stop from the Magic Kingdom. This is definitely the WDW park that the kids in your family will most enjoy. Just think of the quick exit that you can make back to the resort for nap time!

In the mornings, Mary Poppins and friends invite guests to dine at 1900 Park Fare. At night, Cinderella and Prince Charming circulate the restaurant.

The resort offers activities for children such as Arts and Crafts and Story Time!

It's also a wonderful resort to celebrate an anniversary. We honeymooned there (nearly 20 years ago) and have spent many anniversaries at the GF! You won't be disappointed!
