Taking my family to Disney World for the first time in May (my son is 5), just wondering if the deluxe dining plan will be too much food?

    Hi Gina!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your first trip with your family is going to be so magical!  I'm excited for you!

While I do have a couple of friends who enjoy the Deluxe Dining Plan, most of my Disney friends with kids all feel like it's too much food and time.  I have two teenage boys that love to eat and we agree that it's too much food for us.

In my opinion, it also takes  a lot of time away from being able to experience all of the attractions and entertainment. If you visit Walt Disney World a lot, that may be OK. But since it's your first trip, I feel like you would spend way too much time rushing to your next meal and not be able to relax and take it all in.

Again, this is just based on my experience.  We always get the regular Disney Dining Plan and love it. The only exception would be if we were planning to do several table services that require two credits ... then I would consider the deluxe plan, but I still don't think that would be the best value.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
