I am taking my family to disney in September 2012, the kids will be 4 years old and 20 months old. We are having trouble deciding between the Caribbean Resort and the Wilderness Lodge with pools and transportation to parks our main concerns; any advice?

    Hi there Lunor,

I can see why you are having difficulty with your decision.  Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Wilderness Lodge are both beautiful, well-themed resorts.  However, I think the choice between the two is clear.  Disney's Wilderness Lodge is very close to the Magic Kingdom; it is a mere four-minute bus ride or a leisurely boat ride away.  Your children are at an age where I anticipate you'll be spending a considerable amount of time at the Magic Kingdom so you'll appreciate being in a resort nearby.  Imagine how convenient it would be slip back to the Lodge mid-day if your kids need a nap or want to swim.  You could be there in less than 10 minutes!  The pools at this resort are appropriate for small children and I bet your kids would enjoy seeing Fire Rock Geyser too.  They can also play games and watch the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach.  I think Disney's Wilderness Lodge would be the perfect fit for your young family.

Let us know if there's anything else you'd like to know about this gorgeous resort!

    Best wishes,
    Jill
