Hi, Belinda! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this great question.
From hot dogs to fine dining, to sweet treats like Mickey ice cream bars, the
Walt Disney World Resort has foods to appeal to every guest's tastes. However, even with the wide variety of delicious dishes available, sometimes it is still a challenge to find foods that your picky children will eat. As the mom of two tweens who are picky eaters, I understand your concerns.
The kids' menus at Walt Disney World Resort
dining locations are intended for children ages 3 to 9. Guests ages 10 and older are considered "adults" when it comes to
Walt Disney World Resort dining. That being said, the Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort restaurants want to ensure that their guests have a dining experience that is practically perfect in every way. Although accommodations are at the discretion of the Cast Members, in my experience, they have always been more than willing to work with us to find something that my kiddos would like to eat.
There have been times when my older children have ordered from the kids' menu. If you ask, certain restaurants may even be able to bring you adult-size portions of favorite kids' comfort foods. For example,
'Ohana is one of my family's favorite Walt Disney World Resort restaurants. While my daughter eats some of the foods on 'Ohana's family-style menu, my son won't touch anything other than bread and dessert. Our servers at 'Ohana have always been happy to bring him a large plate of chicken nuggets and fries. Please keep in mind that if you are using a
Disney Dining Plan, all guests ages 10 and up will be charged an adult meal entitlement regardless of what they order.
