We are taking a Dream cruise and reserved the Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah. In the pictures I see a queen bed that sleeps 2, a convertible sleeper sofa that sleeps 1, and a upper berth that sleeps 1. Where is the fifth person sleeping?

    Hi, Seth!

Oh, you didn't know? You have to decide which of your family members you like best, and the odd man out has to sleep in the bath tub!  JUST KIDDING!!

Congratulations on your cruise aboard the beautiful Disney Dream! Your family is going to enjoy the well-appointed staterooms of this magnificent ship, and don't worry...everyone has a place to lay their heads.

For the Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandahs, there is a wall pull-down bed for those families who have booked 5 guests for one stateroom -- not all of these staterooms have this feature but most do. Therefore, the bed sleeps 2; the convertible sleeper sofa will sleep 1; the upper berth sleeps 1; and the wall pull-down bed (located between the sofa and the verandah door) sleeps 1.  All of these will be neatly tucked away during the day, and your stateroom host/hostess will make things cozy at night.

Take it from a mom of 4..although Disney Cruise Line staterooms are much larger than the industry standard, you're still putting 5 people (and all their stuff) in a relatively small area.  Therefore, pack lightly and smartly. Bring clothing that can do "double duty" -- for instance, in most cases one pair of long pants for dinner every night may be enough for the guys. Browse the travel area of your local organization store and bring organizing items such as hanging toiletry bags, magnetic hooks and hanging shelves. The more stuff you keep off the floor, the easier it will be to share your stateroom.

I hope that helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
