Hello Mimi!
Thanks for sailing by with your question! The Disney Wonder is the first cruise ship I ever sailed on, you are going to love chasing the line where the sky meets the sea with her.
I did a little hunting and it looks like the current schedule for your cruise includes one formal night and one semi-formal night. Dressing up is optional (unless you're visiting one of the adult-only dining locations) but there are a few
attire guidelines that guests should follow. There will also often be extra photo opportunities on formal and semi-formal nights so you can capture your best cruise fashion. I do see some chilly entertainment planned for a Frozen-themed night including the
Freezing the Night Away Deck Party. Perfect for Alaska, don't you think? I hope there will be plenty of chocolate, I know it's one of Anna and Elsa's favorite things!
I really like using the
Disney Cruise Line packing lists to help me plan what to bring on a cruise. Those lists often help me remember something important! It's also a good idea to check the
prohibited and restricted items list to make sure you don't pack anything that would be confiscated or slow down your luggage during embarkation.
Packing for a colder climate can be tricky, but you can always
do a little laundry on the ship if you want to pack lighter! I find this option especially helpful for longer cruises to help minimize what I need to pack. The laundry rooms also have ironing boards and irons, if you need to press any of your clothes after you unpack.
I'm sure you'll be dressed to impress on your cruise, Mimi! Build a snowman with Anna for me!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
