Hooray for your 1st magical voyage with Disney Cruise Line, Cindy!
You've picked a pretty awesome vacation for your family -- there's something for everyone and you'll be amazed at how easy (and more relaxing) your cruise vacation can be. For our past couple cruises, my family has actually stayed onboard while docked at Nassau. We get to enjoy the ship's amenities and there aren't very many people onboard. This means more rides on the
AquaDuck and a less crowded Spa and pool deck area. There will be lots of activities around the ship and in the Youth Clubs for guests not joining a port excursion.
You are welcome to explore Nassau on your own. The dock is an easy stroll from the ship. There's a small shopping area right when you get off the ship and it will take you less than 10 minutes. If you'd like to check out some Tortuga Rum Cakes to take home or check out some souvenirs from the gift shops at the pier, it's an easy walk from the ship.
You'll be visiting my favorite beach getaway, Castaway Cay! I can't wait for you and your kids to explore the island. There will be lots of things to do for everyone. Here are some ideas for
planning a day at Castaway Cay. You are welcome to bring your own snorkel gear to use while at Snorkel Lagoon. Just remember to pick up a snorkel floatation vest before you get into the water. You can pick one up for free on your way to the lagoon. Don't forget your underwater camera - there are some surprises under the water in Snorkel Lagoon. Your kids will want to check out
Pelican Plunge and possibly hang out there for the rest of your beach day.
Wishing you an awesome voyage, Cindy!
