We are taking a Disney cruise after visiting WDW can we check our Star Wars DROID into security prior to boarding the ship?

Welcome back to planDisney, Leonard! Star Wars droids are on the Disney Cruise Line prohibited list, so I'm glad that you asked your question in advance.

You can take your droid with you through security at the cruise terminal, knowing the crew will give you a claim slip to pick up the droid upon your return to the cruise terminal at the end of your sailing. I asked my favorite Rebel Princess, Jana, and she shared that you can have your droid shipped home directly from the Droid Depot in the Walt Disney World Resort at a nominal cost. With either option, your droid won't be transported to a galaxy far, far away!

While you are thinking about what to pack, don't forget to keep your citizenship documentation, medications, and other essential items with you in your carry-on luggage. Once the cruise terminal porters have your luggage, you will not see it again until later on embarkation day in front of your stateroom door.

Leonard, I hope this helps you make a decision on what to do with your new droid. If you have any questions about your upcoming Disney Vacation by Land & Sea or future Disney vacations, sail back to planDisney.

May the Force Be With You,
    JoVonn
