Welcome aboard, Margaret -
How wonderful to hear that you'll be enjoying a vacation to the Caribbean sailing on a
Halloween on the High Seas voyage. The themed cruises are pretty spectacular - Disney Cruise Line does a marvelous job decorating the ship and setting the tone for your magical voyage, the minute you step into the lobby atrium. This Halloween will be pretty unforgettable for you and your whole family.
Taking Disney Cruise Lines' ground transfers from your Disney resort to the Port is the most convenient way of transporting your family. The luxury motor coaches are so comfortable, and you get dropped off right in front of the cruise terminal. In addition to that, the baggage handling makes it almost worry free - since your bags are picked up early from inside your hotel room by bell services, and it will be delivered right in front of your stateroom onboard that same afternoon. You won't have to carry around your heavy luggage with you!
Depending on your Disney hotel location, there will usually be a designated pickup time for guests staying in that same hotel. In the past few years, our pickup times have been anywhere between 11am and 12:30pm. That usually gets us to the port at around 1pm the earliest. By that time, we breeze through the Check-In counters and can board the ship right after. If you are interested in boarding much earlier (the port opens at 11am), then you might want to check out a private shuttle service to take you and your luggage to the port at an earlier time.
I hope that this helps, Margaret. Please do let us know if you have any additional questions that we can help with.
Happy planning!
~ Dolly
